The following commentary is the opinion of one man. One man who has a journey ahead of him...
I am not a doctor. I am not a nutritionist. Frankly, I have no medical credentials whatsoever. Speak with your doctor about your questions or concerns.
I am here to inform, challenge, humor, and remove the stigma associated with the reality of a lifelong medical condition. I will live life to the fullest in spite of my diagnosis.

WHY ARE WE HERE?
One Man’s Journey is all about my discovery of being Type 2 Diabetic, and the changes and transformations that I have undergone as I begin a lifetime of management of this disease. But it’s more than that. It’s not just about coping and managing, but also about thriving, and growing, and learning how to lead a normal lifestyle at the same time. Follow me on this journey. We’ll have fun, we’ll learn together, we’ll speak and listen and gain better perspectives, and, we’ll thrive.
Our Youtube channel is where all the magic happens. Our video platform will be for all the things mentioned above. We’ll test, review, and discuss all aspects of diabetes management, all the way down to the daily testing of our glucose. We’ll talk about food and drink; health and exercise, after hours, vacations, and more. Most of all, I want to take the fear and the worry and the uneasyness out of a disease that affects 29.1 million people in the United States alone. But I really want to reach the 8.1 million people in the United States that may be undiagnosed and unaware of their condition.

We all know that one person who's scared, in denial, or just downright stubborn. I was all three, I think. But it's ok. Let's just all make a difference where we can.
And we're just not about diabetes. Yes, it's a horrible disease that requires lifelong monitoring and treatment, but so are so many other diseases as well. Let's bring a heightened awareness to them all; and preach the benefits of early detection and early treatment.
